Fine Music Radio 101.3 is a community radio station located in Cape Town, dedicated to delivering a quality listening experience ranging from classical and jazz music to compelling content and social initiatives. The FMR Bursary Trust Awards, formed by the Rolf-Stephan Nussbaum Foundation, offer scholarships, bursaries, and awards to students studying performance and music qualifications.

The bursary will be awarded for studies towards a performance Diploma or Degree in Music, with categories including African Music (vocal/instrument), Classical Vocal, Classical Instrumental, and Jazz Vocal/Instrumental.

Bursary Competition Overview:

The application process involves two rounds: a pre-recorded audition video followed by a final round in July 2024. Each category requires a pre-recorded unlisted YouTube video submission, with up to three applicants chosen for the final round. The final rounds will be held at the Baxter Concert Hall and broadcasted by Fine Music Radio. Adjudication is based on performance, repertoire, presentation, and ensemble skills.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must be South African citizens residing in South Africa, studying towards a Diploma or Degree in Music at a South African tertiary institution.

Ensure all required documents, including proof of registration, references, biography, motivational letter, and program details, are provided along with the unlisted YouTube audition video.
