Since its establishment in 2005, the SAICA Thuthuka Bursary has been a beacon of hope for disadvantaged South African students aspiring to become Chartered Accountants (CAs). Through its comprehensive support system and financial assistance, the Thuthuka Bursary aims to bridge the gap and provide equal opportunities for Black African and Coloured individuals in pursuing their dreams of a career in accounting.

Bursary Details:

The SAICA Thuthuka Bursary is tailored for South African citizens who meet the following criteria:

  • Black African or Coloured heritage
  • Currently in Grade 12, graduated from high school within the last two years, or enrolled in a CA-stream BCom degree at a SAICA accredited university
  • Attained a minimum of 60% in Mathematics in Grade 11 (applicants with Maths Literacy or Technical Maths backgrounds are not eligible)
  • Family income not exceeding R350,000 per annum
